Happy Friday, fam, I hope this email finds you well.
Lets talk about LinkedIn real quick. When we start talking about sales on social media, one of the platforms that often gets overlooked is LinkedIn. Most people I talk to who are beginning their social media marketing journey are not using LinkedIn for their sale. They focus on one or two apps and throw all their energy and money into them. On my last email I talked about being on every platform, and today I want to talk about LinkedIn specifically. I’m going to give you the top three reasons to use LinkedIn with your marketing.
Being on every platform gives you access to new audiences and strengthens your bonds with your current audience, but each platform individually have their own unique value that will help grow your social media game. LinkedIn’s unique value is the type of people that are on it. When LinkedIn first started, ti was a recruiting app where people could post and find jobs. It’s main feature is messaging, not content. It attracted the business-type people, naturally, and quickly became an essential tool for job seekers and finders alike. As the internet evolved, so did LinkedIn, and it is now a content-sharing platform as well messaging.
Top 3 Reasons to Market on LinkedIn
1. Organic reach.
2. It’s a huge audience.
3. It’s the right audience.
1. Content is real estate in 2020, and LinkedIn knows it. They evolved their platform into a content platform a few years ago, and it is working wonders for them and for the users too! Content grabs and keeps the attention of the users. The longer you can keep the attention of your audience, the more likely they are to make a purchase or support your business in some type of way. With LInkedIn evolving into a content-sharing platform, we are able to use the app to attract, and keep the attention of our intended audience a little bit longer. But what good is a ton of content if no one is reading it, right? Well LinkedIn’s organic reach is a beast, and with hashtags you can boost that reach even further!
2. Speaking of further, LinkedIn’s audience is huge! According to Influencer Marketing HUB, they have approximately 600 MILLION users worldwide, and growing! Quickly growing! They are the #5 growing app, also according to Influencer Marketing HUB, right behind Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. But that’s not the best part abut LinkedIn.
3. The best part about LInkedIn, in my professional opinion, is the community. The type of people that are on LinkedIn. Since LinkedIn originally was a recruiting app, the kind of people that would use it were mainly just the business or sales-type of people. The people that are not afraid of the word “recruit.” That reputation stayed with LinkedIn throughout the years, and now as a content-sharing platform, those business-type people are able to connect with other business-type people and create working relationships. The LInkedIn community are already in a business mentality and the vast majority of them will not mind hearing a quick, small pitch here and there. Some of them will even give you free coaching and advice if your pitch is bad or weird. I’m not saying the people on LinkedIn are any better than the people on any other platform, everyone is equally awesome, but for the purpose of sales and marketing online, LinkedIn is the perfect tool for that.

This cat is a really good friend of mine, and I’m super excited to help promote his music as I had waited for his debut album, Dicen Clean Up, to drop for almost a decade. From the first time I heard him rap, I knew there was something special and about him. His distinguished, bilingual style is definitively worth checking out.
